My First Lotus
The 40 was the first Lotus I owned, albeit only a 1/24th scale slot car. It absorbed all my money at the time, then the slot car fad fizzled and I had no place to race it. Years later I converted it to rocket power, but low ground clearance handicapped it and it didn’t fare too well.
It taught me valuable lessons about fads and about the fleeting competitive life of racing cars.
