David P. Whiteside of Birmingham, AL, USA, owned 2 Lotus 30 at different points in time. His first Lotus 30 was 30/L/14 which he appears to have owned in the early 1980s. His second car, 30/S2/7, pictured below, was raced by Mr. Whiteside and wonseveral races outright and also enjoyed several class wins with it in historic racing. Mr. Whiteside died in a road car accident in 2001 and this car appears to have been sold to Chris Palmaz of Texas.
