Robert Shaw’s Home Movies – Lotus 30/L/12

Andrew Bradshaw, the owner of 30/L/12, posted some home movies of his car from when it was owned by Robert Shaw of Rockford, IL, U.S.A. The car was imported by Lotus Southwest in 1964. According to Robert’s son, the car was bought from Homer Rader of Lotus Southwest in Houston, TX, early in 1966, trading in his Lotus 23B.

Robert owned 30/L/12 from 1966 to 1967. He then sold it to his friend Richard Dagiel, who continued to race the car, sometimes with Robert co-driving in longer events.

Andrew posted some home movies of Robert racing the car. The film was made at two tracks – Lynndale Farms, Pewaukee, WI, which is now a subdivision, and Road America, Elkhart Lake, WI.

It’s a great time capsule of not only the car but of track life during the mid-1960s. You can see the movies below:
